BioLepus periclitatus: the endangered rabbit.
Double-majored, preMed and Biochem. Top of the class. Graduate work with cutting-edge research groups in biochemistry and biotechnology. Ground-breaking Doctoral work on Youkai cellular metabolism.
But my life's work is just a foot-note in someone else's story.
Nobody notices you when you're second best.
((This is Hwang, from Gensoumaden Saiyuki; Hwang has no personal name in canon, it seems, so just Hwang. Doctor Hwang, if you wish to be polite. Nii Jyeni's lab assistant. Such is the fate of secondary characters.))
((As she plays such a minor part, I have, of necessity, taken great liberties with her character. If she ever does get development in the manga, I'll probably have to start calling her an AU character, but for now there's very little there to change or contradict))
((That said, I am sticking to what little manga canon there is; if she gets more characterization in the anime, I neither know nor care, because Enix did a positively fantastic job of butchering both the story and the characters))
((And finally, I own neither this character nor the images of her, and am using both without permission))
